Our retail Gift Shop is located in the lobby of the Garfield
Park Conservatory, 300 North Central Park Ave., Chicago, Illinois
60624-1945.

How to Order
|

The Garfield Park Conservatory Gift
Shop will gladly accept your order — whichever way you
decide to submit it!
Order Online

Order or become a member online anytime — it's safe and secure.

To order an item online, simply click the
appropriate product
button. Clicking this button will place the item in your
shopping basket and take you to your basket. At that
point, you can continue shopping or proceed with
checkout. |

When you have finished adding
items to your cart,
click the "Checkout" button and follow the
directions for completing your transaction. |

• |
On completion of a successful
credit card transaction two emails will be sent
to you at the email address that you listed when
checking out. One email will be an invoice
detailing your online order. The second email
will be confirmation that your credit card was
charged. |

Payment

A credit card or debit card is needed to place an
order in the Garfield Park Conservatory Online Gift Shop
Online or by phone. We accept the following credit
cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Sales Tax
|
|
We charge sales tax on all orders for
books, gifts and other taxable items regardless of the recipient's
address. The tax amount is calculated on your total purchase,
less shipping and handling, and will be based on state and local
sales tax rates from our shipping address of Chicago, Illinois.
Sales tax is not assessed for school
field trips, tickets, donations or for
membership in the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance.

Shipping
|
|
Deliveries for books, gifts and other
items are shipped via United Parcel Service. Please use a
shipping address where there will be someone present to
sign for the delivery. Membership packets are mailed by US Postal
Service.

Unless otherwise specified on
a product page, our
delivery charges are calculated for each
individual order depending on the weight of what
you are purchasing and the destination of the
order.

There are no shipping charges for school field trip
reservations, donations, memberships or tickets. |
|

We try to deliver all goods within
7 working days of the order
being placed. Normally all orders are shipped the next business
day, with arrival to you within 4 to 5 business days. You will
be notified by email or phone of any delays or difficulties in
shipping your order. Please allow up to 28 days
for out of stock items |

Membership packets are mailed in 1-2 weeks.

If your order is a gift we
will need to know both mailing addresses, so we do not send the
invoice to the recipient. You will be prompted for this
information during checkout. We do
not currently offer a gift-wrapping service. |

Alliance is strongly committed to protecting the
privacy of its online guests, customers, members,
donors and friends. We do not collect personally
identifiable information about individuals — such as their
names and postal and/or email addresses — except when it
is knowingly provided by such individuals.
Once any personal information comes into our
possession, we will take reasonable steps to protect
that information from misuse and loss, and from
unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.
Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance
does not collect personal information about visitors to
our website unless you choose to provide that
information to us, nor do we sell, exchange or release
your personal information to any third parties. You can
browse our websites without disclosing personal
information. We do not use any cookies on any sites
accessible to the public, other than at our
e-commerce
site where they used are to manage transaction processes.

Returns/Refunds
|

The Garfield Park Conservatory Gift
Shop wants you to be totally satisfied with
your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your
purchase, the Gift Shop will gladly accept your return
or exchange less all applicable shipping and handling fees for a
replacement, exchange, credit or refund (exclusive of
shipping/handling fees) within 30 days of receipt.

Rules and Restrictions:
Returns must be accompanied by an original sales
receipt, and items must be returned in new condition
with the original packaging and contents (defective
items exempted). For items returned without a receipt,
the Gift Shop only offers an exchange or store
credit at the current selling price. The following rules
also apply to all returns and exchanges:

We will not accept opened
DVDs or CDs unless they are
defective.
All DVDs, and CDs must be unopened to
qualify for a refund.

Defective DVDs and CDs may be
exchanged for the identical item, but cannot be returned
for a refund. |

Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. |
|

Returns by mail must have a
return authorization number. Call the Gift Shop
for additional information. |

We cannot accept C.O.D. packages. |
|
• |
Most exchanges and returns are processed within two
weeks of receipt. |

If you
are to receive a credit, this will be processed within 5
working days of our receipt of the goods. In order to
aid in the return process, please keep the original
shipping package. |

Shipping charges will only be
refunded in the case that an error was the fault of the
Garfield Park Conservatory Gift Shop. If you change your mind
about your online purchase, all return shipping charges
are your responsibility. |

right to reject a return from anyone if any of the above
conditions are not met or in the case of excessive
returns. |

Your order can not be cancelled once the order
has been shipped. The return policy conditions above

Should you receive an incorrect or
faulty product, please immediately contact the Garfield
Park Conservatory Gift Shop and we can arrange, as
appropriate, either a goods exchange, refund or gift
voucher replacement.

We do all we can to ensure that orders arrive with you correctly
and in good condition. However if you are not sent the goods you
ordered, or if the goods arrive damaged, we will either refund
your money or (depending on stock availability) replace the
damaged goods or make up the shortage. We will also reimburse
your delivery costs.

Any claim by you in respect of any
shortages and/or defects in the goods must be notified to us by
you within 7 days of the delivery date stating the nature of the
shortage/defect & quoting the invoice number. |

If you fail to so
notify us, we regret you will be deemed to have accepted the
goods. |

Limitation of Liability

The limit of the Garfield Park
Conservatory Alliance liability to you is
the making up of any shortfall, replacement, refund of
the price of the goods and, in the case of defective
goods, refunding the delivery costs.. We are not responsible to you to any
greater extent and in particular we are not liable to
you for any indirect or consequential loss (including
without limitation financial loss such as loss of
profit, or otherwise) which you may incur for whatever
reason, as a consequence of our failure to comply with
these terms and conditions.
