Double Coconut Palm

In 2012, we were sad to announce the death of our Double Coconut Palm (Lodoicea maldivica), the star attraction in the Palm House for 45 years. We are very proud to announce that in working with the Seychelles Islands Foundation, we were able to procure a new Double Coconut Palm seed that has been planted in the Palm House! The Double Coconut Palm seed is the largest in the world - our new seed topped the scales at over 20 pounds!
